Chapter 61

They had made love for such a long time and Bai YueSheng was very tired. At the end he fell into a deep sleep.

Qiu ChangFeng didn’t close his eyes at all. He just held him like this and watched him for the entire night.

The next day, Bai YueSheng woke up in a panic but when he felt the warmth of the person beside him his mood slowly calmed and the corners of his lips raised in a smile. It was the unreserved smile of a child.

Bai YueSheng turned around and lightly kissed Qiu ChangFeng’s lips. “Good morning.”

Qiu ChangFeng watched him unblinkingly.

Bai YueSheng moved around in his arms, and then stuck closely to his chest like a lazy cat. He listened to his beating heart and his expression was very content.

Qiu ChangFeng’s expression changed slightly. His hand moved of its own violition and stroked Bai YueSheng’s head.

Bai YueSheng’s voice, coming from a head which was buried in Qiu ChangFeng’s chest, was very soft. “I miss you.”

Qiu ChangFeng’s hand froze.

Immediately after there was a hot current which passed through his skin. Qiu ChangFeng was still frozen. “Ah Sheng?”

Bai YueSheng embraced him forcefully but didn’t make any more noise. Only that wet liquid fell like rain, pitter pattering, through his skin and straight into his heart.

What happened?

Qiu ChangFeng didn’t understand.

Bai YueSheng used some time and finally calmed down. But he still didn’t release the person in front of him.

Actually he still was having some trouble completing absorbing everything. All of those memories which Wei Zhen had removed hadn’t completely disappeared. It was as though they had been placed into a forgotten corner, sleeping. With the right stimulus they would wake up and become real.

The most painful time in his life, when placed next to Wei Zhen’s actions, became meaningless.

Behind the most cruel betrayal was hidden this kind of deep love.

Bai YueSheng completely couldn’t figure out his own feelings now.

But one thing was certain. He missed him. And he had never stopped missing him.

Ah Jiu said to him, “Gong Yi told me before that once you had picked one from between them, he would get rid of the rest.”

“Get rid of?” Bai YueSheng said in a shocked tone. “What does he mean?”

Ah Jiu said, “Wei Zhen can’t come back, and these four people can’t co-exist, so….”

“Don’t be ridiculous!” Bai YueSheng’s face became serious. “An incomplete soul is fatal.”

Don’t be fooled by the fact that these five people were all alive and well, it was because that even though the soul had been fragemented, all the pieces still existed. But once this connection was severed, that is to say if one of the five people died, then the other four would suffer huge damage.

They could even die.

In the face of immense power, many things can be altered by there was only one soul. Once it had been destroyed it oculd never be healed. By “getting rid of them”, it would be akin to cutting off one’s own arm or leg. Even if other types of hell weren’t mentioned, just the pain one would have to endure their entire life wasn’t something any soul could take.

Ah Jiu sighed. He didn’t say much. If he understood this then Gong Yi also did. But why would he do this…

These words to the others was completely incomprehensible… but Bai YueSheng knew that Gong Yi would understand.

After a slight pause, Bai YueSheng raised his head. His dark pupils flashed. It it was the vast splendor of a thousand stars. “I will become someone who is just as powerful as you. I will definitely bring  you back!”

To put the soul fragments back together required someone whose power was equal with Wei Zhen’s. And this person, in a thousand worlds and the Time and Space Bureau, could not be found…

He could not be found now, but what about in the future?

Bai YueSheng was confident. As long as he had some more time, he could definitely do it!

He would definitely bring Wei Zhen back!

Jeremy frowned. He looked at Gong Yi then at Bai YueSheng. “What…. are you talking about?”

Bai YueSheng turned his head to look at him. “Jamie, are you willing to accompany me? Not for twenty years, but also for the two hundred years after that. Two thousand, two…”

Jeremy stared at him. “Ah Sheng…”
