Chapter 36

Bai YueSheng’s original plan was to appease Lance and then clean himself up before going back to the apartment and pretending to have just woken up. Basically just create an elaborate deception to try and cover everything up.

But who could have known that nine hours would pass in the blink of an eye. He hadn’t even gotten back before Qiu ChangFeng woke up!

His luck was too goddamn bad!

Bai YueSheng couldn’t think of a single thing to say. Qiu ChangFeng’s face was very black. It was clear he was so angry he was about to become crazy.

He originally was already a devil that was above heaven and earth. Usually he suppressed and didn’t show his urges, but if he truly released it then the cold despair that enveloped them was enough to dye the white snow all around them into the deepest black.

His long black hair flew in the wind and his dark eyes were deep and empty. His lips which were narrowed into a line was the color of blood. He gave off an aura of extreme and frightening oppression.

All Bai YueSheng could think of was: It’s over, it’s over, it’s over. Everything is totally over!

Back then in the cultivation world when Qiu ChangFeng had learned he had only pretended to die, he had looked like this. He completely didn’t look like a human, that oppressive power shook the heavens and was frightening to behold.

Bai YueSheng had tried at that time to appease him but the result was that Qiu ChangFeng had used his entire cultivation as well as a Immortal Lock to imprison him inside the Ten Thousand Devil Mountain for twenty entire years. He couldn’t see anyone or do anything.

At that time Bai YueSheng had tried to use a soft method with him. He knew that Qiu ChangFeng’s personality was extreme and abnormal. Those years that he had thought he was dead he had practically given up on everything. The pain and anguish he had shouldered was unimaginable. That was why he had become insane after realizing he had been lied to. So Bai YueSheng could, just barely, be understanding of his actions.

But although he had tried to softly pacify Qiu ChangFeng for an entire year and Qiu ChangFeng indeed treated him very well, however he definitely could not bring up the matter of releasing the Immortal Lock or leaving the Ten Thousand Devil Mountain otherwise Qiu ChangFeng’s anger would return like thunder and lightning.

At the end Bai YueSheng also ran out of patience and started to become angry. He tried to think of various methods to run away but the result was the Qiu ChangFeng who had truly become the Devil King’s power was much greater than his. No matter what he did he couldn’t escape.

Bai YueSheng really got angry. Anyway it was just a stupid mission. At the most he could give up and directly choose suicide. But who knew that Qiu ChangFeng had even anticipated this possibility and fed him drugs so that everyday he was groggy and lethargic, he could barely move his hands and legs. And the drugs also had an aphrodisiac effect, day and night he couldn’t get enough. As soon as he saw Qiu ChangFeng he only wanted to make love and he lived in a state of semi-consciousness for a few years. If it wasn’t for Ah Jiu constantly speaking to him he probably would have gone mad!

Actually if it was the Bai YueSheng of the future, Qiu ChangFeng definitely would not have been able to imprison him. But at that time Bai YueSheng was still relatively inexperienced and had not done many missions. He didn’t have many space credits and he had spent everything he had on making his body stronger and had nothing left to buy any props or devices. And by his request Ah Jiu had mostly only upgraded his information gathering abilities and so had no way of helping him commit suicide so he could only stay imprisoned for twenty years.

To say he didn’t hate Qiu ChangFeng was a lie. But Bai YueSheng also really was scared of him. When this fellow became crazy he really wasn’t human!

He thought about the situation he was in. He had plotted against Qiu ChangFeng, made him unconscious at home and then ran out to secretly with another person….

This was goddamn awkward!

Bai YueSheng suddenly thought for the first time that maybe the promotional mission was not that important. Maybe really it was better to just give up ba… he couldn’t afford to provoke this psychopath!

Ah Jiu had finally come out. He saw the situation and paused. Then he said seriously, “Rest assured, this time I definitely have the ability to kill you.”

Bai YueSheng: “………………………….” Thank you very much!

Although spending a hundred thousand space credits really made his heart twist but at least Ah Jiu’s words helped calm Bai YueSheng down. That’s right, he wasn’t the Bai YueSheng of the past any longer. Right now he was stronger and he didn’t need to use much effort to escape any hold. He doesn’t need to be frightened of Qiu ChangFeng!

***********************************

After a short moment Qiu ChangFeng bent down and picked him up in his arms. Lance’s clothes were still on the floor. Qiu ChangFeng pointed and burnt them to ashes. Then he wrapped Bai YueSheng in his own coat.

Only Bai YueSheng’s eyes were left exposed. He stared at Qiu ChangFeng fixedly with the philosophy of “if the enemy doesn’t move, then I won’t move either”.

Qiu ChangFeng didn’t speak to him. He teleported them away from this snowy field and the moment they had landed in a place of natural hot springs.

Although Bai YueSheng had used his power to adjust his body’s temperature so he didn’t feel cold back on Mount Everest, but now to suddenly land in such a comfortable environment really made Bai YueSheng’s mood improve.

Qiu ChangFeng took off his clothes and placed him into the hot spring. Then he took off his own clothes and walked into the water with his long legs.

Bai YueSheng just wanted to move when Qiu ChangFeng reached out and grasped his waist.

Bai YueSheng stayed very still. He didn’t dare speak and only looked at him with his eyes.

Qiu ChangFeng didn’t look at him. His gaze was lowered and his eyes were half-lidded. It was impossible see what he was thinking.

But his mood is definitely extremely bad. Of this Bai YueSheng was sure.

Then Qiu ChangFeng began to help Bai YueSheng clean himself. His movements were not rough and were actually extremely gentle. With extreme care he helped him clean every inch of his body.

In fact this was actually slightly erotic. However Bai YueSheng’s entire heart was in his throat so he didn’t dare think of anything else. He could only wait for the storm to hit.

Afterwards Qiu ChangFeng then took out medicine to help him apply. The marks on his body disappeared at a rate visible to the human eye. When they had entire vanished Bai YueSheng’s body returned to its original state and even his expended energy had slowly come back.

Bai YueSheng felt like he couldn’t really understand Qiu ChangFeng. He couldn’t help but say, “ChangFeng….” After calling his name he didn’t dare say anymore. Because his voice was unseemingly hoarse.

Qiu ChangFeng froze and his brow knit tightly.

He knew Bai YueSheng too well. Especially in regards to sex. When Bai YueSheng was feeling good his mouth was capable of saying anything. For his voice to become hoarse like this then it was clear that…

His heart felt like it was being stabbed repeatedly. Qiu ChangFeng asked softly, “You… do you like him?”

Bai YueSheng hesitated. He really didn’t know how he should reply. Should he say he didn’t like him? Then why would he run out secretly in the middle of the night to be with him? Did he just want to be f***ed this much? Should he say he liked him? Then when this calm before the storm disappeared and Qiu ChangFeng exploded, then would Mother Earth be able to safely stay in this solar system?

He really wanted to cry!

Qiu ChangFeng laughed suddenly. “It’s fine. Don’t tell me.”

Bai YueSheng: “……”

Qiu ChangFeng kissed him. He said in a low and moving voice from deep within him, “If it was possible I really wish that time could have stopped in those five years.” After he spoke he used the lubrication of the medicine and directly pushed himself inside.

Bai YueSheng moaned slightly.

“Ah Sheng, Ah Sheng….” Qiu ChangFeng whispered his name and strongly stimulated him. Waves of waves of pleasure overcame Qiu ChangFeng but this wasn’t enough to suppress the deep despair inside his heart.

He couldn’t obtain him. No matter what he did, he couldn’t obtain him.

And now…. he couldn’t even deceive himself anymore.

After an episode of lovemaking, Bai YueSheng was tired to death but the important thing was, everybody had gone.

Lance and Qiu ChangFeng, both of them had gone back.

Finally he could have a rest…. Right?

At this time Ah Jiu’s voice sounded. “Ah….”

Bai YueSheng: “……”

Ah Jiu sighed. “The mission prompt has been updated. Prevent Qiu ChangFeng from having a qi deviation.”

{T/N: I’ve seen 走火入魔/”Zou Huo Ru Muo” translated this way in some other web novel translations so I’ve gone with it but actually the meaning in Chinese sounds far more serious and poetic -”Go into fire and become a devil”. Basically when cultivating when people become too extreme/ambitious/emotionally unstable their cultivation can suffer a deviation and they sort of go “darkside” and turn towards devil cultivation.}

I was waiting for this this morning~

Aww. Poor Bai YueSheng. Even though I feel kinda bad for Qiu ChangFeng, I can’t say he doesn’t deserve to be punished. Imprisoning, drugging, and raping someone for twenty years is seriously foul. Meanwhile, although Bai YueSheng FINALLY got him to go away and leave him the hell alone, he has to go save him from a chi deviation…

Breaking hearts and then having to repair them immediately. YueSheng’s job is tough.

  4. Thanks for the chapter! I haven’t had internet recently so I got to binge read the last couple chapters~ annnd everything seems to have gone to hell. First suicidal Lance, and now Qui ChangFeng… we get to see the depth of their feelings due to just how broken they get over the concept of Bai YueSheng not loving them. I’ve really liked the parallels the author’s made between ChangFeng and Lance, seeing the differences in how they deal with rejection in particular. Though it was only for a moment, seeing how YueSheng is genuinely scared of ChangFeng due to what he’s done to him was a good humanizing moment, it makes me wonder how the author will continue their relationship from here on out…

  6. Thank you for the update…

After stopping Lance to not have suicide & preventing ChangFeng to not have Qi deviation, I wonder if it’s gonna be pacifying Jeremy’s anger so that he doesn’t make a galaxy disappear, or is it gonna be another new ex-boyfriend? Poor BYS, his promotional tasks is really headache & heartache inducing.
