Chapter 209 – DEBUG

The moment Lian Qiao said those words, there was a loud cracking sound from the sky.

All three raised their heads instinctively. The setting sun smudged the sky into a warm and dazzling orange red and, in this extremely gorgeous sunset glow, a crack was slowly expanding.

Click, click…

Accompanied by the sound of steel breaking, the sky gradually fell apart. The rift continued to spread, spreading from the top of the three of them into the horizon.

Behind the crack was a bottomless darkness which was terrifying.

Little Apple stared blankly at the sky, dumbfounded. RenDong just glanced at it and then retracted his gaze, as if he didn’t care about it.

Lian Qiao has only his head and a section of neck left. RenDong held him in his arms and wiped the blood on his face with his sleeve.

In the distance, the back mountain suddenly rose from the ground, rising hundreds of meters in an instant. The sound of landslides and ground cracks was deafening and the asphalt road leading to the back mountain was also cracked and raised, exposing the bare concrete floor below.

It turned out that the back mountain didn’t grow taller but that the ground surface was bent and the back mountain was raised up abruptly.

Then the mountain, with the tendency of a building about to fall, rammed straight towards the three of them. Not far away suddenly there was another bang and it turned out to be a piece of orange-red sunset, which hit the ground with a weight of a thousand ounces. It instantly shattered into thousands of water droplets and evaporated and disappeared without a trace.

He tried to turn his head but his whole body was shattered to the point that only one head was left. He didn’t even have a neck, so the whole head could only be held by the RenDong, and he couldn’t turn his head at all.

RenDong seemed to be completely oblivious to his surroundings and still focused on wiping the bloodstains for him. It seems that this is the only thing left in the world that matters.

“RenDong!” Knowing that he was disheartened, Lian Qiao couldn’t help being anxious, “Take a quick look, has the button been generated? Look in your pocket, look around… Also, check if the elevator is ahead of time.” 

RenDong smiled slightly: “Don’t worry about it so much.”

Lian Qiao saw that the bluish-gray color of a dying person had appeared on his face and knew that he had lost too much blood and might not be able to last long. Hearing Lian Qiao shouting at this time, she still couldn’t calm down but just stared around a few times blankly, as if she couldn’t understand what Lian Qiao was saying.

Due to the limited viewing angle, Lian Qiao couldn’t see the situation on Little Apple’s side and so he could only continue to shout: “This world is about to collapse! Quickly see if there is an exit in the cracked part of the map! Take him away! Hurry up! “

Little Apple was shocked when she heard the word “exit”. She then got up from the ground using all her hands and feet. She stood firm and was observing her surroundings when she heard a click. Immediately afterwards, there was nothing underfoot.

“Ah!”

Little Apple screamed and her entire person fell weightlessly. In the panic, she scratched desperately and finally grabbed a piece of something, but the thing couldn’t bear the strength, and it broke in an instant. Her heart sank suddenly.

At this moment, a calm male voice suddenly appeared.

“Hold onto me!”

A strong and powerful hand stretched out from nowhere, grabbing Little Apple’s arm. The man had great strength and his grasp was like iron tongs, tightly gripping Little Apple, stopping her falling momentum. Immediately, there was severe pain in her arms as the joint  almost dislocated.

Little Apple trembled all over, raised her head and saw a round bald head first. Her eyes that were red from crying instantly became moist again.

“Monk…”

The Monk roared, “Come up first!”

As he said that, he exerted all his strength and abruptly lifted her up by one meter. With the strength of his lifting, Little Apple finally climbed up, knelt on the ground panting for breath, still in shock. Looking back, she discovered that a huge crack had opened on the ground at some point. Just now she stumbled and fell into the huge gap.

Just like the crack in the sky, there was bottomless darkness beneath the giant crack. That kind of blackness was different from the abyss. The abyss will give people a sense of unfathomable depth but the darkness behind the underground crack… seemed to be pure darkness with nothing within it.

It seems that once one falls into it, one would also melt into the darkness and return to nothing.

“What’s going on?” The monk turned his head and glanced at Xu RenDong. He could only see Xu RenDong’s back from this angle. “The hotel suddenly collapsed. When I came out, I saw a mess outside… What are you doing?”

Little Apple sobbed: “Lian Qiao, Lian Qiao…”

The Monk frowned and saw the landslides and cracks in the distance. The cracks in the sky and the ground were extending wildly. Like a sculpture, Xu RenDong sat in the distance with Lian Qiao in his arms, without any reaction to the Monk’s arrival. The human head in his arms opened its mouth.

The Monk lost his balance in an instant and fell into the crack on the ground!

Little Apple screamed and rushed forward to grab him. However all this happened in the blink of an eye. Little Apple’s fingers could barely touch the corner of the Monk’s clothes and in the end she came up empty. She watched helplessly as the bright yellow monk’s robe disappeared under the cracks in the ground.

“No!” Little Apple threw herself to the edge of the ground, leaning out with most of her body.

Below the ground fissure is a bare rock layer, the depth is no more than a dozen meters and further down is complete darkness. The Monk fluttered in mid-air in horror, trying to grab the surrounding rocks but the land on both sides was constantly separating. The cracks in the ground were getting wider and wider and he was getting farther and farther away from the rock layer.

“Ahhhhhh—” The Monk yelled uncontrollably.

Soon he fell into the darkness. Like a drop of water falling into the sea, it melted into it instantly. The screams disappeared instantly. The darkness swallowed him silently, as if this person never existed.

“Monk!” Little Apple cried out hoarsely, lying on the edge of the floor, crying almost to death. The person who pulled her up from the abyss a moment ago fell into the abyss himself and she couldn’t do anything! She could only watch him die!

The great grief turned into a heavy hammer and severely smashed her heart. Little Apple went into a trance, hearing the landslides and earth cracks around her but felt that everything didn’t matter anymore.

She suddenly understood Xu RenDong’s mood.

Wait, Xu RenDong!

She actually heard what Lian Qiao said to Xu RenDong just now but she didn’t have time to react. At this time, a thought flashed in her mind. She suddenly raised her head and looked at Xu RenDong on the other side of the crack.

Probably the Monk’s screams attracted his attention, Xu RenDong turned around at some point and looked down at the cracks in the ground. He still held Lian Qiao’s head in his arms.

The crack between the two has expanded to more than ten meters. Little Apple yelled through the crack: “Xu RenDong! You can travel back to save us, right? Next time you must save us all! Next time—”

Before she finished speaking, RenDong’s eyes flashed red. Little Apple’s voice stopped abruptly.

RenDong unconsciously closed his eyes. When he opened it again, he saw a large cloud of red clouds hitting Little Apple heavily, crushing her whole body into a meat paste.

Clouds are falling, mountains are rising. The sky and the earth are breaking apart, the world is falling apart.

“Little…” Lian Qiao’s eyes widened, staring fixedly at the plasma gushing out from under the cloud.

RenDong was unmoved by Little Apple’s tragic death. He just looked down at his chest and said in confusion, “Why am I not dead yet?”

Lian Qiao froze for a moment and then turned his gaze to RenDong’s chest.

The horrifying blood hole in his chest was still shocking, his clothes were soaked in blood and turned dark. A large pool of blood even gathered under his feet.

But his wound was no longer bleeding.

“RenDong…” He struggled to make a sound.

RenDong suddenly smiled.

“I might not be able to this time.”

He smiled and a crack suddenly appeared on his face. Like china, it cracked from the inside. Immediately afterwards; his neck, arms, waist and abdomen… countless cracks spread rapidly like spider webs.

Lian Qiao opened his mouth but no sound came out of his throat.

Numbness quickly climbed to the back of the head. His thinking became dull and was no longer possible. He was like a dehydrated and dying fish on the chopping board. His lips were moving but the look in his eyes was gradually dissipating with life. He didn’t want to give up  but he couldn’t do anything.

RenDong looked at his eyes that were gradually losing their brightness. He raised the corners of his mouth slightly, held his head in his hands and stared at him affectionately.

“This time, I may also be able to get relief.”

“Let us sleep forever. Lian Qiao, I love you.”

After finishing speaking, he closed his eyes and kissed Lian Qiao’s lips.

Lian Qiao felt the soft, cold and familiar touch on his lips when he was in a daze.

Then he didn’t know anything more.
